A Personal Mission

I grew up on the South Side of Chicago, where I saw firsthand how crime destroys opportunity. But the fight for public safety became personal when my younger brother, Christian, was a victim of violent crime in 2022.

That loss changed everything. I realized that the current system is failing victims and leaving families without answers.

I founded the Caldwell Foundation for Public Safety to bridge the gap between policy and people. We are here to advocate for stronger laws, support victims of violent crime, and ensure that safety is a priority in every community across America. We are turning our pain into a movement for justice.

OUR FOUNDER

GIANNO CALDWELL

Gianno Caldwell is a TV host, a political analyst for Fox News channel, and the founder of Caldwell Strategic Consulting, a bipartisan firm in Washington, D.C., providing strategic advice and consulting in public affairs. Gianno has testified before the U.S. House of Representatives on multiple issues, including the U.S. House Judiciary committee on violent crime nationwide, and the U.S. House Ways and Means committee on Welfare reform.

Growing up on the south side of Chicago, Gianno experienced firsthand the devastating impact of crime on communities. Gianno’s first book, TAKEN FOR GRANTED: How Conservatism Can Win Back the Americans That Liberalism Failed recounts his childhood in a neighborhood plagued by violence, poverty, and drugs, including his mother’s addiction. His story is a testament to faith, hard work, and self-determination, and he hopes it will inspire other Americans to embrace these values.

In 2022, Gianno’s brother, Christian, was tragically murdered during a drive-by shooting in Chicago. Christian was just eighteen and an innocent bystander. This profound loss inspired Gianno to establish the Caldwell Institute for Public Safety, which is dedicated to addressing the pervasive issue of crime and its impact on communities across the whole country. As the work of the Institute grew and revealed broader needs for community support for those affected by violent crime, Gianno expanded his vision to create a complementary arm. This led to the establishment of the Caldwell Foundation for Public Safety, through which Gianno continues his lifelong commitment to public safety and community betterment, striving to create a safer, more just society for all.
